GeoAccess
GeoAccess is
industry standard software that is used to illustrate how accessible network
hospitals and physicians are to employees. It is based on the zip code
information provided for each employee. It is one of the first steps in
determining whether a network is appropriate for your client.
The report is
run based on agreed upon accessibility standards. A common standard is to have
one hospital within 15 miles of each employee and 2 physicians in 8 miles of
each employee. These standards can be adjusted up or down for each service.
The GeoAccess summary report expresses accessibility in terms of the
percentage of employees that fall within the agreed upon standard. A great deal
of support detail is available that can help determine whether there are
geographic gaps in the network that need to be addressed.

electronically submit your client’s employee zip code data to HCPC. We will
generate a report for you within 48 hours.
